Volvo XC90 SUV Engines and performance in 2011


The 3.2 and 3.2 R-Design has a 3.2-liter inline 6-cylinder Maximum Power 240 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. XC90 V8 engine gets a 4.4-liter V8 good for 311 horsepower and 325 lb.-ft. of torque. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control manual. XC90 3.2 models come standard with front-wheel drive is optional. The AWD system as standard on the XC90 V8.

In performance tests, recorded a sprint of 7.4 seconds from zero to 60 mph in the XC90 V8. Is respectable, but the 3.2 models are far less playful. Ratings fuel economy are average, ranging from 16 mpg mpg city/22 mpg highway and 18 combined with the 3.2 front-drive model to 14/21/16 mpg for the V8.
